MaxHeatUFH Electric Underfloor Heating Mat 200W/m²
Product details
A 200W/m² high output electric underfloor heating mat for tile and stone floors. It's for conservatories, bathrooms and rooms with more heat loss, where a 150W/m² mat may struggle. Sizes run from 1m² to 10m².
Why installers use it
- Higher output: 200W per m² for rooms that lose more heat.
- Ready-made mat: quicker to lay than loose cable in a regular-shaped room.
- 11 sizes: from 1m² to 10m².

Picking the right size
Measure the free floor area, leaving out kitchen units, baths, shower trays and the toilet. Then choose the mat closest to that figure, without going over it.
You'll also need
- A floor-sensing thermostat: Heatmiser neoStat-e or Heatmiser Slimline-E
- Cement Coated XPS Tile Backer Board to cut heat loss downward, or 6mm Cementitious Tile Backer Board as a tiling base, plus Ultra Prime It Multi-Surface Primer
- Uncoupling Membrane (1m wide roll) on timber or new screed floors
Questions
Can I cut the mat to fit?
Yes, cut the mesh and turn the mat. Never cut the heating cable.
Which output do I need?
Choose 200W/m² for conservatories and rooms with high heat loss. For most kitchens and bathrooms the 150W/m² mat is enough.
Use a 30mA RCD and install to BS 7671. A qualified electrician must make the final connection.
