Underfloor Heating in the South West

From Bristol and Bath to Gloucestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall, we supply complete underfloor heating systems across the South West.

Off the gas grid

Much of rural Devon and Cornwall has no mains gas, so homes rely on oil, LPG or electric heating. That makes the South West one of the strongest regions for heat pumps, and underfloor heating is the best partner for one. Designing at a low flow temperature with closer pipe centres gets the most out of every kilowatt. See underfloor heating with a heat pump.

Stone cottages and coastal homes

Granite and cob cottages often have cold, damp solid floors. Replacing them with an insulated, heated floor transforms how the house feels. Some older buildings need breathable floor build-ups, so take advice before sealing a historic floor. In holiday lets, app-controlled thermostats let owners set back the heating between guests. See UFH thermostats explained.

Bristol and Bath

City terraces and Georgian townhouses have tight floor heights, which suit low-profile overlay boards. Bath stone townhouses are often listed, so check consent before changing floors.

Supply only, or supply and install

  • Supply only: Order by 12 noon for next working day delivery to most addresses in the South West. Delivery cost is shown at checkout.
  • Supply and install: we arrange installation through our approved installers, with MaxHeatUFH technical support on every job. As a guide, labour is £20/m² + VAT for clip rail and pipe clipped to insulation in screed, and £25/m² + VAT for other systems, including electric. Send an installation enquiry with your floor plans and we'll confirm the price.
  • Installers and builders: apply for a trade account for trade pricing on every order.

Grants

If you're fitting an air source heat pump, the government's Boiler Upgrade Scheme can help with the cost in England and Wales. Check the current grant amount and rules on GOV.UK before you budget.
