Underfloor Heating in the South East

Across Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, we supply complete underfloor heating systems for extensions, renovations, self-builds and new developments.

Extensions, orangeries and garden rooms

Extensions are one of the most common home improvements across the South East. A new extension slab is ideal for screed underfloor heating. Where the extension joins an older house, the floor levels need matching, so plan the insulation, screed and floor finish heights together. See screed depths and drying times.

Period homes

Victorian villas, Georgian townhouses and timber-framed cottages are common across the region. For suspended timber floors, joisted floor systems keep the weight down. For listed buildings, check with your local conservation officer before changing original floors.

Self-builds and heat pumps

Self-builders across the region increasingly choose heat pumps. Designing the underfloor heating at a low flow temperature from day one, with the right pipe centres for each room's heat loss, keeps running costs down. See underfloor heating running costs.

Supply only, or supply and install

  • Supply only: Order by 12 noon for next working day delivery to most addresses in the South East. Delivery cost is shown at checkout.
  • Supply and install: we arrange installation through our approved installers, with MaxHeatUFH technical support on every job. As a guide, labour is £20/m² + VAT for clip rail and pipe clipped to insulation in screed, and £25/m² + VAT for other systems, including electric. Send an installation enquiry with your floor plans and we'll confirm the price.
  • Installers and builders: apply for a trade account for trade pricing on every order.

Grants

If you're fitting an air source heat pump, the government's Boiler Upgrade Scheme can help with the cost in England and Wales. Check the current grant amount and rules on GOV.UK before you budget.
