From Cambridge and Peterborough new builds to Norfolk flint cottages, Suffolk barns and Essex commuter homes, we supply water and electric underfloor heating across the East of England.
Off-grid homes and heat pumps
Rural Norfolk and Suffolk have many homes that heat with oil. Moving to an air source heat pump is much more effective with underfloor heating, because the floor delivers comfortable heat from low flow temperatures. Read underfloor heating with a heat pump before choosing pipe centres and a pump set.
Period cottages
Older cottages often have uneven solid floors, sometimes brick or pamment tiles laid straight on earth. Lifting them and laying insulation and a new screed with underfloor heating fixes damp, cold floors at the same time. Where floors must stay, a thin overlay system is the alternative. Your floor finish matters too: see floor coverings over underfloor heating.
Commuter-belt extensions
Across Hertfordshire, Essex and Bedfordshire, kitchen extensions with bifold doors are common. Glass walls lose heat, and underfloor heating keeps the floor area usable without radiators blocking the view. See underfloor heating in an extension or conservatory.
Supply only, or supply and install
- Supply only: Order by 12 noon for next working day delivery to most addresses in the East of England. Delivery cost is shown at checkout.
- Supply and install: we arrange installation through our approved installers, with MaxHeatUFH technical support on every job. As a guide, labour is £20/m² + VAT for clip rail and pipe clipped to insulation in screed, and £25/m² + VAT for other systems, including electric. Send an installation enquiry with your floor plans and we'll confirm the price.
- Installers and builders: apply for a trade account for trade pricing on every order.
Grants
If you're fitting an air source heat pump, the government's Boiler Upgrade Scheme can help with the cost in England and Wales. Check the current grant amount and rules on GOV.UK before you budget.
