Underfloor Heating in the East Midlands

The East Midlands has one of England's fastest-growing housing markets, with new estates around Nottingham, Leicester, Derby and Northampton. It also has older mining-village terraces and rural Lincolnshire homes off the gas grid. We supply underfloor heating for all of them.

New builds and self-builds

Building new is the easiest time to fit underfloor heating. Pipe clipped to the floor insulation, then screeded, is quick to fit and gives excellent performance with a heat pump. Under the Future Homes Standard, low-temperature heating is becoming the norm. See underfloor heating and Part L.

Extensions and kitchen-diners

A rear extension with an open-plan kitchen is one of the most common projects we supply. The new floor slab can take a screed system, while the existing house stays on radiators. A single-room mixing pack connects the new floor to the existing boiler or heat pump. See underfloor heating in an extension or conservatory.

Off-gas Lincolnshire and rural areas

Many rural homes in Lincolnshire and the Peak District fringe heat with oil or LPG. Switching to a heat pump works best with large, low-temperature emitters, and a heated floor is the largest emitter a room can have.

Supply only, or supply and install

  • Supply only: Order by 12 noon for next working day delivery to most addresses in the East Midlands. Delivery cost is shown at checkout.
  • Supply and install: we arrange installation through our approved installers, with MaxHeatUFH technical support on every job. As a guide, labour is £20/m² + VAT for clip rail and pipe clipped to insulation in screed, and £25/m² + VAT for other systems, including electric. Send an installation enquiry with your floor plans and we'll confirm the price.
  • Installers and builders: apply for a trade account for trade pricing on every order.

Grants

If you're fitting an air source heat pump, the government's Boiler Upgrade Scheme can help with the cost in England and Wales. Check the current grant amount and rules on GOV.UK before you budget.
