MLCP Press Fit Male Elbow
Product details
An MLCP press fit male elbow is a 90 degree fitting with a press end for multilayer pipe (MLCP or PEX-AL-PEX) and a male BSP thread. Use it to connect into female-threaded fittings, valves and manifolds where the pipe needs to arrive at a right angle.
Why installers use it
- Turn and connect in one: saves an elbow and an adaptor at valves and manifolds.
- Five sizes: 16mm x 1/2", 20mm x 1/2", 20mm x 3/4", 25mm x 3/4" and 32mm x 1".
- Specification: brass body, stainless steel press sleeve with an inspection window and insulating ring, and factory-fitted EPDM O-rings.
- Rated for heating and water: maximum working pressure 10 bar and maximum continuous temperature 80°C (95°C peak). Suitable for heating, underfloor heating and hot and cold water.

How to fit it
Cut the pipe square. Calibrate and bevel the bore with a Pipe Reaming Tool or Pipe Chamfering Tool. Push the pipe fully home until it shows in the inspection window, then press with the U-profile jaw that matches the pipe size. Seal the BSP thread with PTFE tape or a thread sealing cord.
