MLCP Press Fit Male Straight Union
Product details
An MLCP press fit male straight union takes multilayer pipe (MLCP or PEX-AL-PEX) on one end and a male BSP thread on the other. Use it to connect into female-threaded valves, manifolds, cylinders and boiler connections. The press end is U-profile.
Why installers use it
- Pipe to thread in one fitting: 16, 20, 25 and 32mm pipe with 1/2", 3/4" or 1" male BSP.
- Specification: brass body, stainless steel press sleeve with an inspection window and insulating ring, and factory-fitted EPDM O-rings.
- Rated for heating and water: maximum working pressure 10 bar and maximum continuous temperature 80°C (95°C peak). Suitable for heating, underfloor heating and hot and cold water.
- No turning the press joint: screw the thread in first, then press the pipe on.

How to fit it
Cut the pipe square. Calibrate and bevel the bore with a Pipe Reaming Tool or Pipe Chamfering Tool. Push the pipe fully home until it shows in the inspection window, then press with the U-profile jaw that matches the pipe size. Seal the BSP thread with PTFE tape or a thread sealing cord.
