MLCP Press Fit Female Straight Union
Product details
An MLCP press fit female straight union connects multilayer pipe (MLCP or PEX-AL-PEX) to male-threaded valves, manifold tails and appliances. The 16mm x 1/2" and 25mm x 1" sizes are demountable: they have a loose swivel nut, so you can connect them without turning the pipe and take them apart later.
Why installers use it
- Demountable options: swivel-nut sizes suit manifold and valve connections that may need to come off.
- Wide range: 16 to 32mm pipe with 1/2", 3/4" or 1" female BSP.
- Specification: brass body, stainless steel press sleeve with an inspection window and insulating ring, and factory-fitted EPDM O-rings.
- Rated for heating and water: maximum working pressure 10 bar and maximum continuous temperature 80°C (95°C peak). Suitable for heating, underfloor heating and hot and cold water.

How to fit it
Cut the pipe square. Calibrate and bevel the bore with a Pipe Reaming Tool or Pipe Chamfering Tool. Push the pipe fully home until it shows in the inspection window, then press with the U-profile jaw that matches the pipe size. Seal the BSP thread with PTFE tape or a thread sealing cord.
