MaxHeatDeck Cement-Faced Routed XPS Board (1200 x 600mm)
Product details
MaxHeatDeck is a routed XPS insulation board with a fibre-reinforced cementitious layer on each side, made for low-profile wet underfloor heating. Lay the board, press the 16mm pipe into the routed grooves and tile directly onto the cement face. No screed is needed.
Why installers use it
- Cement face both sides: a fibre-reinforced cementitious layer gives a firm surface to tile onto.
- Choice of groove: serpentine boards have return loops, straight boards have parallel grooves.
- Grooves at 150mm centres: on a 1200 x 600mm board, 0.72m² per panel.
- Low profile: a 20mm board for 16mm pipe, with no screed to add height or drying time.
Specification
| Groove | Board | Code |
|---|---|---|
| Serpentine | 20mm, 16mm pipe | MaxHeatDeck-20 |
| Straight | 20mm, 16mm pipe | MaxHeatDeck-20-S |
Choosing the groove pattern
Serpentine boards have the return loops cut in, so the pipe can turn back at the board ends. Straight boards have parallel grooves only. If you're not sure how many of each you need, send us your plans and we'll work it out.
Works with
- MaxHeatPanel Routed XPS Board for 12mm pipe
- 5-Layer PERT-EVOH UFH Pipe 16mm
- UFH manifolds
- Overlay boards
Questions
Which pipe fits?
16mm pipe. The board is 20mm thick and the grooves are cut for 16mm pipe.
Can I tile straight onto it?
Yes. The cement face is made to tile directly onto, so you don't need a screed.
