MLCP Press Fit Reducing Straight Connector
Product details
An MLCP press fit reducing connector joins multilayer pipe (MLCP or PEX-AL-PEX) of two different sizes in a straight line. A typical use is stepping a 20mm heating main down to 16mm for an underfloor heating or radiator circuit. Both ends press with U-profile jaws.
Why installers use it
- Six reductions: 20 to 16mm, 25 to 16 or 20mm, and 32 to 16, 20 or 25mm.
- Specification: brass body, stainless steel press sleeve with an inspection window and insulating ring, and factory-fitted EPDM O-rings.
- Rated for heating and water: maximum working pressure 10 bar and maximum continuous temperature 80°C (95°C peak). Suitable for heating, underfloor heating and hot and cold water.
- One less fitting: reduce in a single joint instead of a connector plus a reducer.

How to fit it
Cut the pipe square. Calibrate and bevel the bore with a Pipe Reaming Tool or Pipe Chamfering Tool. Push the pipe fully home until it shows in the inspection window, then press with the U-profile jaw that matches the pipe size.
Choosing the size
Sizes are written large end first. A 25mm x 16mm connector takes 25mm pipe on one end and 16mm pipe on the other. You'll need the U-profile jaw for each size.

No. They come in full bags or boxes only, and we can't split packs.
Do I need two different jaws?
Yes. Press each end with the U-profile jaw for that pipe size.
