6mm Foil-Backed Fibre Top Board for Routed Chipboard UFH (1200 x 600mm)
Product details
This 6mm fibre top board, also called a cover board, goes over 22mm routed chipboard underfloor heating panels once the pipe is in. Its 150 micron aluminium foil backing spreads heat evenly across the floor, and the moisture-resistant board gives a flat, stable surface for the floor finish.

Fitting tips
Stagger the joints so they don't line up with the joints in the chipboard below. Fix with screws, keeping well away from the pipe runs.

Questions
Which way up does it go?
Foil side down, facing the pipe and chipboard. The foil spreads the heat from the pipe below.
How do I fix it?
Screw it to the chipboard, staggering the joints and keeping the screws away from the pipe runs. Our 4 x 20mm chipboard screws are sized for this.
