Three storeys means three different floor constructions to plan around. For this house in Gawsworth, near Macclesfield, we produced the full underfloor heating loop design and kit for all three floors.
The system
- Ground floor: Pipe clipped to the insulation, ready for screed
- First and second floors: Overlay boards, quoted two ways so the builder could choose: 20mm cement-faced XPS (MaxHeatDeck) or 25mm plain XPS (MaxHeatPanel)
- Design: Full loop layout for every floor
Giving the builder a choice upstairs
Cement-faced boards like MaxHeatDeck give a hard, tile-ready surface at only 20mm. Plain routed XPS like MaxHeatPanel is a lighter, lower-cost option where the floor finish will go over a separate layer. Quoting both let the builder weigh cost against build-up height and floor finish before ordering.
