MLCP Press Fit to Copper Brass Tail
Product details
An MLCP press fit to copper adaptor has a press end for multilayer pipe (MLCP or PEX-AL-PEX) and a plain, copper-sized brass tail. The tail goes into a 15, 22 or 28mm compression, soldered or copper press fitting, so you can join a multilayer run to existing copper pipework.
Why installers use it
- Multilayer to copper: the simple way to tie new MLCP into a copper system.
- Six sizes: 16mm to 15mm through to 32mm to 28mm.
- Specification: brass body, stainless steel press sleeve with an inspection window and insulating ring, and factory-fitted EPDM O-rings.
- Rated for heating and water: maximum working pressure 10 bar and maximum continuous temperature 80°C (95°C peak). Suitable for heating, underfloor heating and hot and cold water.

How to fit it
Cut the pipe square. Calibrate and bevel the bore with a Pipe Reaming Tool or Pipe Chamfering Tool. Push the pipe fully home until it shows in the inspection window, then press with the U-profile jaw that matches the pipe size.
